Natural Built Home was founded in October of 2005. Our mission was to create a one-stop shop for the safest and most sustainable building supplies. We initially provided these products to our customers on the world wide web through our e-commerce website. Our first brick and mortar showroom opened in Minneapolis on Earth Day in 2006. Since then we have continued to seek out the best green building products to bring to our customers. We want to thank all of our customers for making our first year a success. We look forward to helping you with your new projects in the near future! Natural Built Home is proud to be a member of the U.S. Green Building Council

Natural Built Home Is a Local Source for Green Remodeling
In the long run, the most economical way to improve or remodel your
home is to choose products that will last a long time, and that ensure
the health of your home and those who live in it. In today's
'warehouse' economy, it can be tough to distinguish the smartest
choices. Natural Built Home,
in the Hiawatha neighborhood at 4020 Minnehaha Avenue, offers a host of
safe and sustainable building supplies in one beautiful showroom.
Offerings include flooring, countertops, lighting, sinks, and paint and
other finishes.

Keeping the Business Beat by Erica Marston
Natural
Built Home (4020 Minnehaha Ave.), the “one-stop shop for
eco-friendly building supplies,” recently opened in Longfellow
where it has already enjoyed a very favorable response from the
neighborhood. Owner Rachel Maloney is committed to specializing in
“green” products and building supplies that are safe for us and
sustainable for the environment, including countertops, sinks,
lighting, carpet, recycled glass tiles, low VOC paint products, and
bamboo, cork, and linoleum flooring. I was also pleased to find a
nice selection of household cleaning and outdoor products.
The
new showroom on Minnehaha is cool, spacious, and inviting, and I
found the staff to be friendly, professional, and extremely
knowledgeable—a combination that prompted me to grab several extra
brochures and business cards to share with my neighbors.
Drop
by to peruse Natural Built Home’s impressive selection of brightly
colored linoleum, tiles, and carpet, or check out their website at
naturalbuilthome.com for a full product listing. Showroom hours are
available online or by calling 612-605-7999.
(Let’s
support our neighborhood businesses. Do you know about anything
interesting going on in the neighborhood business community—openings,
closings, expansions? Contact me at epmarston@ yahoo.com. I look
forward to hearing from you.)

Developers ramping up 'green' techniques for residential projects
Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal - January 26, 2007 by Jonathan Eisenthal, Contributing Writer Talk to any architect, designer or builder involved in "green" or
sustainable development in the Twin Cities, and you will hear the same
diagnosis for residential building: "Green" is on the horizon, the
interest in it is consumer-driven and it will be huge.
The "when" is still a question, but "soon" is the answer from many
of these professionals with a stake in launching green home building
here. See website for full article.
