Wood From the Hood





  • Harvested in Minneapolis
  • American Elm is from trees taken down for carrying Dutch Elm disease
  • Green Ash, Red Oak or White Oak are also available
  • Milled to high standards locally
  • Available for nail down installation
  • Comes unfinished allowing for a variety of natural finishing options
  • Janka testing (industry standard) rates our Elm as comparable to American Cherry in hardness
  • Solid 3/4" flooring allows for multiple refinishes


We are very excited to introduce our newest flooring option – Wood From the Hood. This solid hardwood is made from salvaged trees from the city of Minneapolis. We work with a local mill to turn these majestic trees into a gorgeous flooring product.



Because this is locally salvaged wood that is also locally milled, it is our most eco-friendly flooring option. The floor in the pictures have been finished with our non-toxic and easily repairable oil wax finish for abeautiful and durable natural finish. Wood From the Hood is solid 3/4” Elm, Green Ash, Red Oak or White Oak.
