Recycled Walnut Shell

NuxiteNuxite is a revolutionary new biocomposite, unmatched in its combination of beauty, warmth, durability, versatility, and ease of fabrication. It is a naturally stain resistant, lightweight, and renewable material unlike any other. Nuxite is made in Minneapolis from crushed walnut shells suspended in a resin binder. Walnut shells are a sustainable and renewable byproduct of annual walnut food crop harvests. They impart their characteristics of super high density, low absorption, and light weight to Nuxite. The binder is a formaldehyde free, zero V.O.C. resin, which is inert once cured, and does not off-gas or emit fumes the way less expensive polyester resins can. Nuxite is offered in ½” and 1“ thicknesses and in panel sizes of 30” wide, in 4 foot and 8 foot lengths. Custom sizes and thicknesses are also available. |
