Bamboo Block Counter Tops
The countertop sheets are readily available in a variety of
styles, including our exclusive Parquet End Grain. In addition, all of
the popular designs are available in 2" thick sheets.
The countertop sheets are
constructed with cross-band laminates that we called Multilam(TM) (patent
pending). In early testing, we discovered that this is the ideal way
to glue bamboo. This method keeps the sheet both flat and true, as
well as lessens the tendency to twist or warp.
Formaldehyde Free Adhesives
The counter tops are laminated
with a completely non-toxic, food grade, and most importantly,
formaldehyde free adhesive. The adhesive is safe enough to prepare food directly on the counter surface.

Curently
we offer four different grain patterns: Flat Grain Dark, Vertical Grain
Dark and our exclusive Dark and Natural Parquet End Grain. All styles
are available with our exclusive Multilam cross-band laminate.

Sizes
Both
the Flat Grain and Vertical Grain are avalable in 1 1/2" thick, 30"
wide home installation ready sheets in 8' lengths. The Caramelized
Parquet End Grain is available in 1½" x 30" x 96" and 1 1/2" x 36" x
72".
Sheets come unfinished and sanded to 180 grit; ready
to be spliced together for a kitchen island or installed as counter
tops. You can router the edge profiles to suit your individual kitchen
style. We recommend sealing the counter tops with any of
the excellent finishes currently on the market. You can simply use
mineral oil, or as a natural alternative, walnut oil and then seal with
Bees Wax. Vegetable oil or olive oil is not recommended as it can leave
a unpleasant odor.
