Eco Experience at the MN State Fair
Thursday July 21st through Labor Day (September 1)
This year’s Eco House exhibit is based on a two-story house
design created for a family that visited the 2007 Eco Experience
and became convinced they want their next home to be a “green
building.” The design integrates energy and water efficiency,
healthy indoor spaces, resource-efficient materials, and sustainable
site planning. If built as modeled, the house is expected to qualify
for certification under both the Minnesota
GreenStar Certified Green Homes guidelines and the U.S.
Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes checklist. Check out all the great green technologies showcased at this year's home! (Admission to the MN State Fair is required to enter the Eco Experience)

"Phantom Loads: Reduce your carbon footprint" is of current and general
interest to everyone because of both climate change and rising fuel
